The Bay of Islands Anglican Parish serves the communities of western Newfoundland through two churches: St. James' in Lark Harbour and St. Ambrose in John's Beach. Where the Blow Me Down Mountains meet the sea, we gather in faith and fellowship.

We are a warm, welcoming community that provides opportunity for all people to be nurtured and affirmed in their ministry. Whether you're a lifelong Anglican, exploring your faith, or simply seeking community, you'll find a place here.

When the MSC Baltic III ran aground at Cedar Cove in February 2025, our parish answered the call — providing hot meals and hospitality to Coast Guard and salvage crews. One year later, we continue to hold our community in prayer.

Lark Harbour

Serving Lark Harbour and York Harbour on the south side of the outer Bay of Islands.

Every Sunday: 11:00 AM or 7:00 PM

St. Ambrose Church

John's Beach

Serving John's Beach, Benoit's Cove, and Frenchman's Cove on the north side.

Every Sunday: 11:00 AM or 7:00 PM
